A microblog that covers tech, startups, health, and sometimes other random stuff

Why are you microblogging?

I’ve tried and failed at blogging regularly many times, but I’ve always wanted somewhere to share thoughts and ideas. Typically I’ll post to Twitter, but sometimes 140 characters just isn’t enough, which is why I wanted to get stuck into microblogging.

I’ve got a micro.blog account too, but I wanted something that was my own that I could cross post there and anywhere else I wanted to.

So I’m using a simple file-based CMS called Kirby to run this microblog, and I’ve set up some workflows to post from anywhere (computer, phone, tablet) to GitHub, which in turn then deploys to my live site.

I’ll go into more detail about some of these workflows when I get a chance, but as I said I want to keep things light for now.
